Bulk edit labels in tickets and audits
We’re excited to introduce a new feature in our ticketing system: bulk editing of labels. This enhancement allows users to easily replace or correct multiple tags at once, streamlining the management and updating of labels across your projects.
Why bulk edit labels?
In the fast-paced environment of project management, the need to update or correct labels quickly is crucial. Whether it's fixing a misspelled tag or updating labels based on new insights, doing this manually for each ticket can be time-consuming and prone to errors. Our new bulk edit labels feature addresses this by allowing you to make these changes swiftly and efficiently.
How to use the bulk edit labels feature
- Select tags: In the tickets module, select the tag(s) you want to edit.
- Choose action: Choose to replace or remove the tags. If replacing, select an existing tag from the dropdown or type in a new one.
- Confirm changes: Apply the changes, and the selected tags will be updated across all active and archived tickets.
By integrating the bulk edit labels feature, we aim to enhance your workflow efficiency and ensure your labelling system is accurate and up-to-date. This update reflects our commitment to providing tools that make managing your projects easier and more effective.
Above, you read how to replace or remove a label in all tickets. Want to give your own selection of tickets or audits the same label instead, for example all audits of one building block after an inspection round? Select them in the list and change the labels for all of them at once.
For audits
- Open your project and go to Audits.
- Select the audits you want to add a label to or remove a label from.
- Choose Labels in the action bar.
- Choose whether to add or remove labels and select the labels.
- Read the confirmation and apply the change. You will get a notification once all audits have been updated.
For tickets
- Open your project and go to Tickets. Use a filter to find the right tickets faster, if needed.
- Select the tickets you want to add a label to or remove a label from.
- Choose Labels in the action bar.
- Choose whether to add or remove labels, select the labels and confirm.
Good to know
An audit can have up to 15 labels, just like when you edit a single audit. If your project only allows fixed labels, you choose from the labels your administrator has set up. Archived audits are not part of the selection, so they are not changed.
No emails are sent when you change labels in bulk, so your colleagues don't receive dozens of notifications. The history of each audit shows who changed the label and when, so you can always look back at what changed.
